Invitation Styles
OPEN CARDAvailable in various forms, this traditional style of invitation lends itself to all occasions. Choice of size, opening style – ‘tent’ or ‘greeting card’ – and colour and texture of card. Add your choice of embellishment, wording and ribbons and you have a design – ‘just for you’.
LAYERED CARD
Making a comeback, this invitation style can be as ‘plain’ or as ‘fancy’ as you like. A choice of size, colours, embellishments and numbers of layers allow a ‘layered card’ to lend itself to any occasion or use. From ‘Save the Date’, ‘Invitation’ and ‘Birth Announcement’ to ‘Order of Service’, ‘Menu’ and ‘Thank You Cards’ – this style is truly versatile.
WALLET
One of the most popular styles of invitation around, these ‘guest friendly’ designs can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes. The choice of card used to create these wallets can change the appearance considerably. The options available in card, decoration, fastening and content are endless. A layered card invitation is attached to the inside of the wallet which has an optional pocket for the inclusion of RSVP cards and Guest Information Details. ‘Simple and stylish’ or ‘frilly and fancy’ there is a wallet design for everyone.
A pocket style of invitation lends itself to many occasions. Available in different shapes and sizes and a variety of card, the outer pocket can be decorated in many ways with a choice of ribbons, embellishments and personalisation. The matching ‘pull out’ insert completes this popular style of invitation.
SCROLLS
Increasingly popular these scroll invitations are a joy to give to your guests. Available in A4 and A5 sizes they give your guests a wonderful glimpse of the occasion to follow. A choice of parchment and paper for the scrolls is available along with a variety of coloured scroll boxes. Tied with a ribbon of your choice, the scrolls are beautifully presented in their decorated box. Postal boxes are available for a small charge but many couples like to give these invitations out personally, like giving a gift. Scrolls are suitable for Day Invitations, Evening Invitations, Order of Service & Menus. Recently, couples have ordered scrolls for their ‘nearest and dearest’ and a different style using complimentary colours for the remainder of their guests.
POSTAL POCKETS AND BOXES
All invitations, with the exception of scrolls, come with envelopes. Postal pockets and boxes are available at a small additional charge. These are strongly recommended for the postage of any style of invitation which has a ribbon bow or large size embellishment. The postal pockets ensure that your invitations arrive at their destination undamaged. You Are Invited cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused during transit.
